Fabulosokids is a company like any other, but it is also an idea. Founded in early 2011 by husband and wife Gloria Cuartas and Bruce Wisener, Fabulosokids was envisioned as a conduit through which Gloria could work to correct what she saw as an obvious wrong—the fact that finding clothing and other products conveying positive images and ideas for children was nearly impossible. That simple idea—that kids should be surrounded by positivity— inspired the couple, who are themselves the parents of two young children, to dedicate their free time to offering you a better alternative.
As the concept and foundation of the business developed, it became clear that there was an opportunity to correct many shortfalls within the retail marketplace. Products made in the United States, products made by hand, bilingual products, and generally high-quality children's items were all lacking from the assortments available at traditional retailers. The couple realized that both the negative imaging and the dearth of quality were a handicap to parents—in short, that parents were trying to deal with inferior tools and expecting exceptional results.
The company's mission statement was born.
Fabulosokids will create and present high quality children's products and services intended to aid adults in raising exceptional kids who will grow into exceptional adults.
Everything that we do relates to that mission statement. Our goal is to give parents and other adult caregivers the tools, the knowledge and the encouragement that they need in order to nurture the intellectual and emotional well-being of their children, and of the children around them. We are proud that we have an opportunity to do so by offering assistance in three forms. First, through our blog, we will offer insights and advice that we hope people can use in their daily lives to form plans and habits that will allow them to best nurture their growing children and to foster their intellectual and emotional well being. Second, via our commercial site, we believe that we can offer products of extremely high quality that adults can use as tools to further their goals and the goals of and for the children in their lives. In addition, we are committed to creating and merchandising products that are highly desirable to children within the specific age range that the product is intended for. Finally, by creating alliances with other companies, other bloggers, educators, and child development specialists, we intend to add value to the interactive experiences that we provide to parents on our own and other blogs, on our website, and on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites as appropriate.
Although Fabulosokids is intended to provide for our family, we approach our purpose from the perspective of service, focused on providing you with solutions to your child rearing issues whatever they may be. We hope you will find that we fill that role well, and if you don't, hope that you'll tell us what we've done wrong and what you think we should do to fix it.
In the end, Fabulosokids understands that successful businesses all excel at one thing—creating relationships that customers can predict and rely on. We understand that every day, we have to answer the question "Why Fabulosokids?" and realize that the answer lies in providing you with solutions to make your tasks easier. We believe that by listening to what you want, by striving to exceed those expectations, by operating efficiently in order to remain affordable, and by always bearing in mind that we are intended to help you grow fabuloso kids, we will never fail.
